Pet-Friendly Lake Harmony Chalet with a Fully Fenced Yard
Most “pet-friendly” rentals mean “pets tolerated.” We mean a
fully fenced quarter-acre backyard and hosts who bring their own dogs here.
Why dog owners book this house
The fence is the headline: a gated split-rail fence wraps the entire quarter-acre
backyard — genuinely rare in Lake Harmony Estates — so your dog
is off-leash and safe while you’re in the hot tub or
sauna. The yard is pea gravel and lawn (easy on paws, easy to clean up), and the
fire-pit circle has room for the dog bed too.
Dogs genuinely welcome — just tell us who’s coming in your booking request

The pet policy, in full
Dogs off beds and furniture (bring a throw if your dog insists on the couch).
Don’t leave dogs alone in the house uncrated.
Pick up after your dog in the yard — please bring bags.
Mind the 11 PM–7 AM quiet hours: barkers sleep inside.
A dog's weekend in the Poconos
Morning zoomies in the yard, then a leashed hike at
Hickory Run State Park (20 minutes) —
Hawk Falls is a short, shaded, very sniffable out-and-back. Afternoon walk through
downtown Jim Thorpe (20 minutes) with its
dog-tolerant patios, or the flat Lehigh Gorge rail-trail. Evening: they doze by the fire
pit while you argue about the pool table. Full ideas in the
things-to-do guide.

Really great house and location! Hosts were super responsive and even moved us to another house when the power went out due to a storm. House was spacious and the backyard was huge with an excellent eating and grilling section. Highly recommend.

The fact that me and my family was able to all go including our dogs was the best experience. My mother and my mother in law really enjoyed the peace and quiet even with all of the grandchildren around which was surprising. The kids enjoyed the s’mores and being able to experience a bear just walking around just feet’s away from them. We really felt right at home especially when we had a few concerns and we asked the host he was able to respond quickly. Thank you for opening your home to me and my family. We will definitely be back 🥰

Thank you so much for a beautiful weekend getaway! The backyard was a huge selling point for us. It was spacious, and everyone had a comfortable place to sit. It even rained one evening while we were there, but the covered outdoor dining patio allowed all of us to sit, cook, and continue enjoying the outdoors.
In the mornings, we loved relaxing on the front deck with our coffee in the reclining chairs before moving to the table where we could all enjoy breakfast together.
Communication was excellent from before check-in through our entire stay. The information provided throughout the house was incredibly helpful. The home was spacious enough that whether we were relaxing upstairs or hanging out in the game room downstairs, we could all be together and truly enjoy a weekend away from reality.
Pet FAQ
Do you charge extra for dogs?
Dogs are welcome — just mention them in your booking request so we know who’s coming. We ask only that you follow the simple pet rules: off the furniture, never left uncrated alone in the house, and cleaned up after in the yard.
How big is the fenced yard?
About a quarter acre, fully fenced with a gated split-rail fence — one of the only fully fenced yards in Lake Harmony Estates. Big enough for real zoomies.
How many dogs can we bring?
Two dogs is our comfortable standard; traveling with more or with larger breeds? Just mention it in your booking request — we almost always say yes.
Are the nearby trails dog-friendly?
Yes — Hickory Run State Park (20 minutes) allows leashed dogs on its trails, the Lehigh Gorge rail-trail is a classic flat dog walk, and downtown Jim Thorpe (20 minutes) has dog-tolerant patios.
